How to Schedule Automatic Migration of Emails to M365
harmon.ie provides an automatic process for uploading email messages to SharePoint, OneDrive, or Teams, as explained in automatically migrate emails to M365.
By default, harmon.ie uses Outlook cache to upload the emails to M365. You can configure harmon.ie to sync non-cached emails directly from the Exchange server. You can also add a scheduler and set the start and end time of the migration process.
To do that:
- Add the OutlookDropFolders registry key.
- Add a String Value called EnableScheduler and set its default value to True, to enable a scheduler process to run after work hours and migrate the emails to M365.
- By default, the scheduler runs during the night, between 01:00 and 05:00. If you wish to change the start and end time of the scheduler, add these String Values: SchedulerStartTime, and SchedulerEndTime and set to the start and end time of the migration process.
- Add the UseExchangeSynchonizer String Value if you want to sync non-cached emails directly from the Exchange server.
- If you wish to save the uploaded email with specific metadata, add the MetadataColumnName String Value and set its name to the required column. Add the MetadataColumnValues String Value and set to a semicolon-separated list of values.
Defining the EnableScheduler String Value will add a Run now command in the favorite menu.
