Enable Shared Mailbox Support

To enable saving emails and attachments from shared mailboxes to SharePoint, Teams, or OneDrive, a Microsoft 365 admin must grant consent on behalf of all users. This article explains how to do so.

Why is consent requested?

New harmon.ie requires consent to view and work with Microsoft 365 files that the user is authorized to see.

To support reading from shared mailboxes, an additional permission is requested:

  • Mail.ReadWrite.Shared: Allows the app to read and write emails in mailboxes that have been shared with the signed-in user.

How to enable users to access shared mailboxes with New harmon.ie

A Microsoft 365 administrator must complete the following steps:

  1. Click this Consent link.
  2. Sign in with Global Admin credentials.
  3. Check Consent on behalf of your organization and click Accept.

Once consent is granted, users will be able to save emails and attachments from shared mailboxes using harmon.ie.
