harmon.ie, the world’s first user experience platform driving Office 365 and SharePoint adoption in the enterprise, today announced that Yoram Yaacovi, former Microsoft GM of R&D and Shalom Passy, former Amdocs SVP & Head of Delivery and Operation groups, are joining the company’s Board of Directors. In addition to adding veterans Yaacovi and Passy, harmon.ie will be opening a new office in New York.

Yoram Yaacovi joins harmon.ie with over two decades of leadership experience at both Microsoft and Amdocs. Yaacovi served as General Manager and CTO of Microsoft Israel’s R&D Center where he managed a team of over 2,000 people, helped establish the Microsoft Startup Accelerator, and was integral in the acquisition of several leading Israeli companies. Yaacovi brings vast experience ranging from product development to patent applications. His passion for not only intelligent technology, but the technology community, saw him create the Israel Advanced Technology Industries Multi-National Companies forum, where leaders of multinational R&D centers discuss their shared objectives and form a closer, high-tech community.

I’m excited to be joining the harmon.ie team. I make investment and job decisions based on people, so after meeting the harmon.ie team, I realized I believed in the company’s vision and want to play a strategic role in the company,” said Yaacovi. “harmon.ie has the leadership needed to truly succeed, while filling a vital gap in the market by collating the information people need in the workplace into one location, eliminating platform fatigue which leads to significant frustration and inefficiency.

Yaacovi is joined on the board by fellow industry veteran Shalom Passy. Passy brings twenty years of experience in a variety of senior executive roles at Amdocs, including Head of Development in the US, Business Division President (Europe), and Amdocs Account Manager for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon).

Shalom currently offers consultation services to leading technology companies including, Sapiens, Allot, and Go-Arc, bringing his considerable business and strategy experience to the table in a tailored way for each company. Shalom is also a Managing Partner and Director at AfterDox, an angel investment group.

After another year of tremendous growth and success at our company, the addition of Yoram and Shalom will only help us continue to propel things forward and achieve even greater accomplishments with their extensive knowledge of the industry,” said Yaacov Cohen, CEO of harmon.ie. “By leveraging artificial intelligence and natural language processing, we are able to provide our customers with a platform that effectively divides information into topics, organizing information in a more logical way, leading to greater digital workplace productivity.

In addition to establishing an independent board, harmon.ie’s recent growth led to new executive hires, including Evan Herbst as General Manager and Vice President Sales, North America and Sasha Apartsin as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence. Herbst previously served in a number of senior executive roles with leading technology companies, including one where he built and led an award-winning cognitive computing and artificial intelligence business. Apartsin brings his expertise in AI, machine and deep learning, data science, computer vision and natural language processing.
