Enable Shared Mailbox Support, Email Categories, and Email with Attachments
Some New harmon.ie features need Microsoft 365 permissions that your organization may not have granted yet. If your users can’t use the following features, a Microsoft 365 administrator may need to grant the additional consent described in this article:
- Save emails and attachments from shared mailboxes to Microsoft 365, and create automation rules in shared mailboxes.
- Automatically apply Outlook categories to saved emails, including the categories used by email automation and shared categories.
- Create a new email with selected attachments directly from harmon.ie.
If you are deploying New harmon.ie for the first time, these permissions are included in the All features consent. Follow harmon.ie App Consent and Required Permissions instead.
To support reading from shared mailboxes and opening a new email with attachments, this additional permission is requested:
- Mail.ReadWrite.Shared: Allows harmon.ie to read and write emails in mailboxes that have been shared with the signed-in user.
To support automatic email categories, these additional permissions are requested:
- Mail.ReadWrite.Shared: Allows harmon.ie to add categories to emails.
- MailboxSettings.ReadWrite: Allows harmon.ie to create master categories.
- Calendars.ReadWrite.Shared: Allows harmon.ie to create categories in shared mailboxes. (This permission is required due to current Microsoft Graph permission dependencies; no calendar data is read or modified.)
How to enable users to access all features
A Microsoft 365 administrator must complete the following steps:
- Click this consent link.
- Sign in with Global Admin credentials.
- Click Accept.
