The Outlook add-in operates while Outlook is open, and rules and automations run during that time. The desktop app runs persistently in the background — so automations fire consistently, even when Outlook isn’t actively in use.

When a user saves an email to SharePoint, all team members can see that it was saved and exactly where. No more duplicate saves, no more “did anyone file this?”
Automatic conversation saving
Mark a conversation to track, and harmon.ie automatically saves every reply and forward that follows to the same SharePoint location. No further action needed
Rule-based automation

File explorer for Microsoft 365
- A dedicated window: browse SharePoint libraries, Teams channels, and OneDrive folders with the space to navigate, manage content, and view or edit document properties comfortably
- File Explorer-like layout (coming): the desktop app is designed around the familiar Windows File Explorer structure, with a tree view on the left, file list in the middle, and preview pane on the right, with everything visible at once
- Works independently of Outlook: users can manage files, apply metadata, and access Microsoft 365 content without Outlook open, making it a tool for document-centric workflows, not just email filing
Advanced file management
- Open in associated desktop app: open PDFs and emails directly in their native desktop applications from within harmon.ie. Support for all file types is coming, so every file opens in the right application without going through the browser
- Save as: download any SharePoint file to a location of your choice on your machine
- Full copy, cut, and paste: copy or cut any file and paste it to any location across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, into Windows File Explorer or directly into an email
- Compare Word documents (coming): compare two versions of a Word document side by side without leaving harmon.ie
- Convert email to PDF (coming): convert emails saved in SharePoint to PDF directly from harmon.ie
