Manual email saving is the weak link in Microsoft 365 compliance. When capturing a record depends on someone remembering to save it, records slip through. The fix isn’t more discipline or another reminder. It’s automation that captures the right emails for you.
Why manual saving keeps failing
Your most important records live in the inbox: client correspondence, approvals, commitments, decisions. In regulated industries like legal, government, construction, and finance, capturing those emails to Microsoft 365 isn’t optional.
But when saving depends on a person remembering to do it, every busy day is a chance for a record to be missed. The cost adds up quietly: records that never make it to SharePoint, the same email saved multiple times by teammates, audit gaps that surface at the worst possible moment, and weaker Copilot answers because the records it needs are stuck in inboxes..
The most reliable control is one that doesn’t rest on memory and routine. That’s the shift this webinar is about: from manual saving to automatic capture.
Three ways harmon.ie automates email capture
In this session, Ron Johnsen, VP of Customer Success, will introduce the automation features now entering beta in New harmon.ie.
Automatic conversation saving
Think of it as conversation tracking for business-critical communications. Save an important email to a location once, then tell harmon.ie to keep that conversation there, and it captures every future reply to the same place automatically as the thread evolves. This ensures a complete record is available for colleagues, improves knowledge sharing across the organization, strengthens compliance and governance, and gives Copilot more complete context to generate better, more accurate responses.
Suggested automation rules
harmon.ie learns from how you already save. When it notices you repeatedly save emails from the same sender to the same location, it offers to turn that into an automatic rule. Accept the suggestion, and matching emails are captured to the right place automatically from then on, so important correspondence is consistently retained without anyone setting it up by hand.
Shared categories
Shared categories give you visibility into what has already been captured by you or your colleagues. You can immediately see when an email or conversation is being tracked, which reduces duplicate saving, improves team coordination, and increases confidence that important communications have been properly preserved.
In the session
Beyond a look at each feature, you’ll get:
- A live demo of automation in action, including the Automation Dashboard that shows what your automation is capturing.
- A look at the roadmap, with more automations coming, including Copilot integration.
- How to join the beta and be among the first to use these features.
A reason to move to New harmon.ie
Already a harmon.ie customer? The automation you’ll see runs in New harmon.ie, so this is a good reason to make the move if you haven’t yet. These features are built for the modern Outlook add-in and desktop app, so the webinar doubles as a practical guide to what switching gets you.
