Finding people

Finding the right person can help you get things done quickly. To find a person, use one or more of the following methods:
The people tab helps you find and interact with your coworkers

  • Search for people by name or other SharePoint user profile detail, such as skills, current projects, or title.
  • Select a document in the harmon.ie sidebar. If one or more columns that include a user name (Modified By, Created By, or Checked Out) are displayed, the information for these people is shown in the people information pane.
    Note: The people information pane should be enabled to view this features.
  • Open the document properties. The people who Created, Modified, and (optionally) Checked Out the document are listed at the bottom of the Properties window. Click a user name to open their business card.
  • View list item info. Click properties of type Person or Group, or the Created and Modified properties at the bottom, to open the person's business card.
  • Select an email message. The sender and recipients are displayed in the people information pane.
  • Select a calendar event. The information for the attendees is displayed in the people information pane.

Note: To view the People tab, you must have a configured SharePoint social server.
