To find people, and view their short profile info:
Tap the Views menu () > People view ().
Do one of the following:
Scroll the list.
Tap the Search Action (), and start typing a name in the Find search bar to find people with that name on the list.
To search in SharePoint:
Tap the Search Action (), and start typing a name or the profile details, such as skills, or title in the Find search bar.
Tap the Tap to search ‘x’ in SharePoint link. A list of matching results appears.
To expand the search, type the new search criteria in the search box, and then tap the Search icon (), which appears after the first SharePoint search.
To clear the search text, tap the Clear icon ().
To close the search and return to the list, tap Cancel.
The short profile info displays, showing this person's image and name. If this person is your colleague, the colleague's group icon () and group name are displayed as well.
To view full profile information:
You can view the full profile of a person at any time by tapping their name in the People view, or on the document or list item info panel.
Find the person whose profile you want to view as follows:
Find a person in the People view.
- or -
View document information, and locate the name of the modifier, or person who checked out the document.
- or -
View list item information, and locate the name of the creator, modifier, or (if applicable) the assignee(s) of the list item.
Tap this person’s name to view the full Profile Info.
The full Profile Info displays the person's status update, name, picture, title, email, department, work and mobile phone, skills, interests, ask me about, about me, and the add/edit colleague icon (/).
Tap the Updates tab to view the updates made by this person, the Yammer conversation this person participated in, and SharePoint documents he/she changed.
Note: You are only notified with document/list changes in SharePoint libraries that you follow.
Tap the Actions menu () > Email / Call Work / Call Mobile to reach out to this person.
Tap the Actions menu () > Go to OneDrive/My Site to open this person's personal site in harmon.ie.
If you open additional Profile Info pages from this panel, a Back action icon () appears at the bottom of the page. Tap the Back action icon to go back one page. You can also tap the Close icon () to close all the open pages.
To communicate with people using Skype for Business (Lync):
A color bar at the left of the person's image indicates his/her presence status.
Tap the Send an IM icon (). This sends an invitation to this person to connect.
Type your message and then tap Send. You can see the conversation as long as the Conversation window is open.
- or -
Tap and hold a person's name, anywhere it is displayed (for example, in the Created By, or Modified By fields of the Document Info or a person's name in the Version History) and then tap Send an IM.
Continue as described above.
Notes:
If the Conversation window is closed, you are not notified on new messages received.
You can only invite one person to the conversation. If other people join the conversation from outside of harmon.ie, you do see their messages.
To configure and enable Skype for Business:
Note: harmon.ie supports Skype for Business (Lync) on premise only.
You may need to install a certificate to the Skype for Business server in order to use it.
Tap the Views menu () > Settings () > Sites.
Under Skype for Business (Lync):
Make sure Enabled is set to On.
Tap Auto-Detect for auto detection of the server, or Manual to supply the Server URL.
Slide Use Social Server Credentials to On to use the username and password as defined in the social server, or slide it to Off to supply other credentials.
Tap Test Connection to verify that you can connect to the server.
Tap the Updates tab to view the updates made by this person, the Yammer conversation this person participated in, and SharePoint documents/lists they changed.
Note: You are only notified with document/list changes in SharePoint libraries that you follow.
To change your status update:
Use harmon.ie to update your colleagues with what you are working on.
Tap the Update Status icon
() in the People () view.
Type your message in the text box, and tap Done.
Note: This icon is only available when the configured social server is SharePoint 2010 or later.
To refresh the people list:
Pull the list down, until you see the line Release to refresh….
Release.
To configure a social server:
By default, you do not have to configure a social server. When you add your first site (Office 365, SharePoint 2010 and later, or MOSS) to harmon.ie, it is automatically set as your social server.
If you have more than one site registered for a SharePoint server, the credentials for the first added site are used to identify you on the social server.
To manually configure or change the social server:
If harmon.ie fails to recognize your social server automatically, you can manually configure or change the social server:
Tap the Views menu () > Settings () > Sites.
Tap the social server picker, and select another social server from any of the registered Office 365, SharePoint 2010 or later, or MOSS sites.
Note: If your social server does not appear in the Social Server list, add a SharePoint site from your social server.
Reopen the Views menu > Settings and try again.
