Keyboard shortcuts

In addition to the standard Windows keyboard shortcuts, the following keyboard shortcuts are supported:

F2
Renames title of the selected doc
F5
Refreshes the docs list from server
Alt-Left/Right Arrow
Goes back and forward in navigation history
Home/End
Goes to first/last item in the docs list
PageUp/PageDn
Selects the doc one page up or down in the docs list.
Enter
Opens selected doc.
Ctrl-C/V
Clipboard operations: Copy and Paste
Delete Deletes the selected doc
Space
Selects or deselects an item in the documents list



Icons table

Icon
Description
Share this document with others. The hand icon indicates that the document or folder is currently shared with others.
Copy or move the document to another folder. The folder icon indicates that the document is located in a folder.
Lets you specify the sort order for the document list
Refresh button. When rotating, indicates that a server request is in process.
Clicking the home icon in the navigation bar resets any search filter and opens the All Items view.
All ltems view. Shows all your documents.
Documents view. Shows your Google Docs items that are documents.
Spreadsheets view. Shows your Google Docs items that are spreadsheets.
Presentations view. Shows your Google Docs items that are presentations.
PDF Files view. Shows your Google Docs item that are PDF files.
Folders view. Shows your root folders.
Starred view. Shows your starred documents and folders.
Owned by Me view.
Opened by Me view.
Shared with Me view.
Hidden view.
Trash view.

 

Terminology

Throughout this documentation, the term Google documents is used as a general name for Google Docs Items, which can be of different types, including Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentations.
