Working with people

harmon.ie’s People tab offers quick ways to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues:

• Find a person.
• View people information.
• Communicate with people by chat, phone, e-mail, and more.
• Build your SharePoint network.
• Get updated with other people’s work.
• Update your status and profile.

To get started with the social features, you must have a configured SharePoint social server.

Removing social features

To remove SharePoint social integration, and disable all social features in harmon.ie, do the following:

1. Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the harmon.ie ribbon group, or select Options from the harmon.ie sidebar menu, and select the People tab.
2. Open the General > Select the social server drop-down list, and select None.

Note: When disabling the social features, you can still initiate UC interactions with people from the Documents and the Updates tabs.

To remove My Site integration:

1. Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the harmon.ie ribbon group, or select Options from the harmon.ie sidebar menu, and select the People tab.
2. In the General group, unselect Show 'My Site' in the sidebar.

To disable the people information pane:

1. Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the harmon.ie ribbon group, or select Options from the harmon.ie sidebar menu, and select the People tab.
2. In the General group, unselect Show the people information pane.
