save on send and metadata

Hi support,

when sending a mail with the "save on send" option active, you are prompted with a window that allows you to select a location. In my case this will be a specific project folder (about 1000 different folders and still growing). After clicking "Yes" to save the message, it sends and closes the mail and my mail is saved into the correct folder.

Most of the time I need to add some extra metadata and this means that I have to browse to this recently saved mail, select it and fill in the metadata.

I was wondering if there's not another option to this more quickly by f.e. being able to fill in the metadata before sending the mail or being redirected directly to the saved mail in question or ....

Any suggestions or solutions are welcome.

Kind regards,
Waldo

If the target location

If the target location contains required properties you'll be prompt to enter metadata...

you are correct but now I get

you are correct but now I get a window asking me to check in the document, a windows for adding "Version Comment" and finally a window telling me that the mail can't be checked in because a required property is not filled in. This is too complex and is as time-consuming as browsing to the specific folder and select the mail and add the metadata.

All my users want to do is to add some metadata (not required) for easy search. But when it takes too much time to do this they refuse to do it with all the consequences afterwards.

Kind regards,
Waldo
