Harmon.i.e and Citrix XenApp 6 W2K8R2 and Outlook 2010

Hi

I've recently installed Harmon.i.e with Outlook 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 Citrix XenApp 6 infrastructure. All appears to work fine, however it appears the plugins settings do not carry over if the users roaming profile bounces from one XenApp server to another? This unfortunately means users will have to configure the plugin again and again as their profiles move from one server to another.

Something the management people won't buy into I'm afraid, so my question is,

Where does the Harmon.i.e. product store its own config information? Is it somewhere in the registry? I'd like to know so I can hopefully add in a Group Policy Object and start controlling the plugin centrally.

Any Help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Harmon.ie settings are stored

Harmon.ie settings are stored both in the registry and in %LocalAppData%\Mainsoft\Harmony
You'll need the upcoming enterprise version if you want settings to be placed in a roaming location.

Which version of harmon.ie do you use?

Harmon.i.e. settings

Hi Roy

Thanks for getting back to me so promptly, currently I'm currently using the free version of Harmon.i.e as I am trying to convince the directors that going enterprise will be worth the investment.

Is Harmon.i.e going to be officially tested and certified as Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services compliant product?

Do you have any information on the licensing model for Citrix Usage? Or is it the same as the normal purchasing options?

Your help is much appreciated

Steve

Our upcoming service pack

Our upcoming service pack (end of June) is going to support roaming profiles.
Please contact support@harmon.ie if you want to test it sooner.

Licensing for Citrix is the same as normal license: we charge per seat.

Many thanks

Cheers for getting back so promptly

Thats certainly good news to hear. I've requested a quote for the enterprise edition.

One last question if you don't mind Roy, with the enterprise edition, is there a way in which the SharePoint lists can be prepopulated as opposed to users having to enter it?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Definitely, with the

Definitely, with the enterprise version, SharePoint sites can be pre-provisioned to your users: http://harmon.ie/KB/Provisioning%20SharePoint%20Sites

Excellent stuff Roy

That's very pleasing to know and my customers will be aswell.

Many thanks for the work

I think I can argue compentently for an inclusion into project scope and cost (depending on the quote that is)

thanks again
