I understand you got error “The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by the administrator”. SharePoint 2010 limits by default the number of lookup fields that can be queried.
Would you please ask your Sharepoint administrator to increase the number in the 'List View Lookup Threshold' parameter to a larger one in the 'Resource Throttling'. See the following link for more details: http://malikhan.wordpress.com/2009/12/22/throttling-new-features-of-list...

Please let me know before increasing such value what is your current value.

I'd like first to clarify that as far as we know the Outlook version (2007 or 2010) does not have an impact on this type of server errors.
After consulting with my colleagues, we believe that the best way to proceed would be to record the interaction between harmon.ie and the SharePoint server. Only afterwards we may proceed with a test patch.
If this is OK by you, please download and install fiddler (a utility to sniff http requests).
Please run fiddler, restart Outlook (while fiddler is running) and then navigate to the problematic library.
Fiddler should register all the http interaction. Please send me ALL of the fiddler interaction.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We were aware that throttling existed in 2010 and so resolved the issue there. We can definitely enable the same logic for 2007 as well. Will you be intereseted in a test fix to see if this indeed resolves the issue?
If so, please let me know your Outlook version and what kind of version you have installed (free, eneterprise, or evaluation).
