New Report: IDC Marketscape for Enterprise Social Software
IDC just released their annual analysis of the Enterprise Social Software market. The report, entitled “Worldwide Enterprise Social Software: 2012 Vendor Analysis” includes a number of noteworthy market insights including the following:
- Organizations are now beginning to extend current deployments, looking to rich clients across all mobile form factors (particularly smartphones and tablets) as well as other collaboration functions like email, instant messaging (IM), presence, and audio and Web conferencing.
- Extending a streamlined enterprise social software user experience across mobile form factors will enable end users to continue to collaborate in the context of work processes and across a number of device interfaces.
