Troubleshooting

  • While navigating, I cannot see subsites, only document libraries.
  • I want to view the documents on My Site but they are not visible. Why?
    • When working with SharePoint online or when a custom My Site URL is configured, you have to map the My Site host URL to the SharePoint server URL. To learn how, read To add My Sites to the list of sites in iPhone, iPad, or BlackBerry.
  • I sent an e-mail containing a link to a SharePoint document, but the link is not accessible to the recipients. Why?
    • SharePoint document links are available to your recipients only if they have access to the SharePoint server, and have sufficient permissions to view the document. If your recipients do not have sufficient permissions, they should follow the Request access link / Send Request button to request permissions to the attached document, from the site owner. Read Make a SharePoint link accessible to your recipients.
