KB: How to use custom search scopes in harmon.ie

Harmon.ie allows you to filter search results, by using SharePoint search scope rules. Scope rules are defined in the SharePoint administration interface, and they can be added to harmon.ie search scope list.

When adding one or more custom search scopes, harmon.ie automatically adds a new scope as well – Search All Content. If this scope is selected, no scope rule is used.

To invoke a custom search, user has to choose both the search location (search Documents in Library/Folder or search Documents on Site) and the search scope (preconfigured or Search All Context).

Limitation: harmon.ie only supports search Scope Rules Types of type Property Query.
